Weather Update: 3:25pm – Just another reminder that our 3:45pm ACES session is cancelled. The sun shines bright however the courts took a hammering today so we need them to dry. Have a good weekend.

First hit for 2015 – What a year it has been!

I have never been so humbled in my entire life. The support my team and I have had over the last couple of years have been overwhelming. Tennis Canberra has not just been an exciting tennis academy growing by the day but a community that is built on support, generosity and friendship. Personally coming to tennis has helped me get through a tough part my life with the Tennis Canberra Family helping our coaches and friends when in need. I’m so proud of every member of our tennis community and I would like to thank each and everyone for the love that you’ve shown us. With Christmas hours away and 2016 around to corner I would like to wish everyone a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Us coaches are taking time off court during the Christmas and New Years break but will be back for our January Summer Session. I have the best team in the world and I know how hard we’ve worked this year – 2016 you better be ready!

Update: 5:43pm – All lesson cancelled – Rain! We invited all adult and Cardio Players to Civic Pub in Braddon at 7:30pm for dinner and a game of pool.

 

Update: 4:31pm – Rain has stopped and courts are ready to go. 5pm session are on however please visit the link before you leave just in case the weather turns.

Weather Update: 4:06pm: All lessons after 5pm are on! No rain for the last 2 hours and the courts have had a chance to dry. Our 5pm Junior Squad, 6pm Cardio Tennis and 6pm & 7pm adults will be on assuming there is no rain. If the skies open again please check the website for updates.

Weather Update 2:44pm: All lessons before 5pm at Reid Tennis Club are cancelled as the courts are too wet to play on. Sessions after 5pm can you please check back here at 4pm as we’ll make a call on evening sessions then. If the rain clears and we get a bit of sun the adult sessions will be on.

Weather Update: 10:55am: Lunch-Time Cardio Tennis at the Old Parliament House are cancelled as the courts are too wet. Afternoon sessions at Reid are pending as there is light rain throughout the day. For all afternoon and evening sessions please check back at 2:30pm.

14th Junior Club Teams Challenge – Reid Tennis Club – Hosted by the Canberra City Wolves

It’s that time again, our junior animals are out to play and the 14th Junior Club Teams Challenge the first of 3 Challenges this term will be played at the Reid Tennis Club Saturday the 31st of October. Canberra’s only regular grassroots inter-club teams event these challenges gives our Junior Club Players the chance to play matches in a fun social team environment.

  • What: 14th Junior Club Teams Challenge – Hosted by the Canberra City Wolves
  • When: Saturday 31st of October
  • Time: 11:30 – 1pm
  • Who: Registered Junior Club/Squad Players – Join a Junior Tennis Club
  • Where: Reid Tennis Club
  • Format: Round Robin – 1/2 set singles (first to 3)
  • Cost: $15/player (pay on the day)
  • BBQ for players, parents & friends
