Win a Head Extreme Racket (Richard Gasquet’s racquet of choice)
On the 16th of May, 2015 The Kozlow family will be heading to Nice, France. Saskia our 11-year-old tennis junior will be representing the Tennis Canberra family at the Mouratoglou Tennis Academy (ISP). Her training will include full time on-court workouts, private lessons (3) from the best coaches in the world plus a tennis experience that could change her life. Although this may seem like an exciting opportunity it does come at a cost. Without sponsors her parents Hayden and Jenny have personally invested a lot to make this happen. We would love to help Saskia as we know talent can only go so far and without support and structure from the greater community. For that reason, the next 2 weeks the Tennis Canberra team will be selling raffle tickets with all profits going towards Saskia and the Kozlow family.
Tickets are $5 each and you have the chance to win a brand new Head Extreme Racket (MP or lite – depending on what suits you) which retails at $330 AUD. This Racket is used by Richard Gasquet (and Coach Robbie). The raffle will be drawn Saturday the 16th at 11am by Saskia herself. The winner will be announced on our Facebook Page and notified by email and phone.
Post project: On behalf of Tennis Canberra and the Kozlow family we would like to thank the Canberra Community for supporting this #TennisCBRCares Support Program. We successfully raised $360 for young Saskia, our raffle was drawn and the winners are posted below.

ACT played host for the Super 10s teams event on the 22nd and 23rd of November 2015. 16 of the best boys and girls from ACT and regional NSW grinded it out on the Lyneham clay courts in sweltering heat.
Tennis Canberra coaches Avi Baskar (Team Rafa) and Robbie Manzano (Team Williams) were 2 of 8 team coaches for the event. With all teams evenly matched it was tough to determine a champion team on Day 1.
Day 2, served a scorching 37 degrees out on court. After close ties in both boys and girls semi-finals Team Rafa (boys) and Team Williams (girls) both went through to the finals.
A surprise visit from Nick Kyrgios before the finals served important after a tough session in the heat. Both Avi and Robbie’s teams fought hard in the finals almost turning the tie from the losses in the pool rounds. In the end, it came down to 3-games in both boys and girls finals with Team Rafa and Team Williams settling for proud finalist.

“This is the first time I’ve worked as an on court team coach and I know it won’t be the last, it was an incredible experience and I was so proud of my girls who proved to themselves that they had it in them to come back from 3rd on Day 1 to close victors” Robbie Manzano
